Ageas - Women In Insurance programme
We are proud to be partnering with Ageas on their Women In Insurance programme (WIN). The objectives of this programme are to accelerate the development of female talent across the organisation. Ageas shares many of our values and the programmes pilot in 2016 proved to be a great success. A third of the women participating in the programme have already moved into new and exciting roles, with one other agreeing that the programme increased their ability to do their job better. The Programme’s success has much to do with importance that Ageas and its Talent and Diversity Team have put into the programme and the ongoing support provided to the individuals from their respective mentors, as well as the proven course content and the unique experience that Alitus and its delivery team bring to the programme.
John O’Connor – UK Head of Talent and Diversity for Ageas says ‘We’re fully committed to the development of women in our organisation and are also great supporters and signatories of the Women in Finance Charter, which is the Government lead initiative to support the progression of Women into senior positions across the financial services industry. The WIN programmes is just one of many initiatives we re delivering as part of our broader commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, and I’m really pleased with the results we’ve seen from our first programme. Alitus has shown a depth of understanding and commitment to the organisation that has ensured success’.
Bridget McIntyre Executive Chairman responded by saying ’we work with likeminded organisations and are proud to be working with Ageas who are deeply committed to developing talent within the organisation. The women we’ve worked with have demonstrated outstanding talent with a thirst for their own development. The results and evaluation of the course are standout’.
Bridget McIntyre’s comments were echoed by Hannah McQueen an attendee on the first programme who said “We have been welcomed and guided through this programme by a group of wonderful, inspirational and successful woman in business. But it’s not what you might expect, the corporate sounding ‘Women in Insurance’ was in fact a warm and friendly space to explore your strengths, communication style and most importantly grow your confidence. The programme is a good balance of face to face sessions, 121 coaching development and networking and provides space to review and develop your skills. It’s encouraging to work for a business that recognises the need to redress the leadership balance and I am thankful to have received this development opportunity.
